I had a client who to begin with, really didn’t know how she was going to pay me…
At the time I was selling a 3 month high touch small group coaching journey for $5K.
She disliked her government job, was underpaid for what she was doing and was dealing with some real dysfunction in the team she was working in.
She’d had multiple businesses that hadn’t *quite* made it.
Her home and family were a little chaotic.
She “procrastinated” a lot, giving her time and energy away in ways that were not in alignment with her highest good. (I’ve put ‘procrastinated’ in inverted commas, because it’s a label for a behaviour, but its simply the symptom, not the root, and we had to get to the root!)
She was renting a home she deeply wanted to buy but had no deposit (and it wasn’t on the market).
She was working her ass off, being everything to everyone and feeling exhausted and run off her feet most of the time, as well as generally lacking confidence in herself.
Most of all, she knew that something just wasn’t quite right. She *knew*, deep down, that she was meant for more than this cycle of just getting by and she deeply wanted to change her life and how she felt about herself. Something HAD to shift.
We spoke on the phone.
She could hear the noise of the fear from her mind. It was loud.
And she could also feel a spark of alignment. A ‘yes’ that she knew she needed to follow, even if she was shitting herself just a little. (Her words 😅)
We figured out a payment plan that would work for us both and she said Yes.
She was still terrified about the money.
It was a big investment for her at the time.
She *mostly* knew how she was going to meet the repayments, but she was trusting the ‘yes’ from her gut over the ‘what the f**k am I thinking?’ from her mind.
She was SO hungry, and she went ALL THE WAY IN during this course.
She let herself truly crack open to herself in ways she had been unable to for decades.
She looked at the boundary issues – with herself and others.
She looked at the ways she was keeping herself small, not speaking her truth.
She looked at the ways she wasn’t being honest with herself.
She sobbed and raged and allowed years old emotions to move that she’d been pushing away.
She learned to hold herself while she felt it all.
She learned to trust and FOLLOW that SPARK that she *knew* all along was there.
And that spark got brighter.
And she started speaking up.
And loving herself.
And saying No.
And slowing down.
And REALLY caring for herself.
And getting honest about what she really wanted. With herself, and the world.
So as that spark got even easier to follow, it led her into a job that she actually enjoyed where she could earn a commission and grow and be appreciated for her gifts.
And she boldly approached her land lord with a vendor finance proposal and bought her home.
And she started resting without earning it first. She stopped rescuing people. Retired from over-functioning. Her procrastination dissolved. Her confidence blossomed…
She didn’t miss a single payment in that payment plan.
And that was just the beginning. 💖
In the time since, she’s continued to follow her spark, started her own company and is earning more than ever before on her own terms.
She left her marriage and is now in the healthiest, happiest relationship of her life.
She’s led her children through some really challenging times with clarity and love.
She’s paid for her young adult daughter to go through one of my programs.
She’s just about to sell that home she bought to buy one she loves even more!
And she recently welcomed her grandson into the world, and shared with me that her and her daughter called on their embodiment and self connection tools throughout her birth to keep her grounded and in her flow…
What a fucking Queen.
Yes I’m proud to have contributed to this woman’s life, and I’m *incredibly* proud of her.
But deeper than that, I believe we’re all built for thriving. For blossoming.
And there’s a spark somewhere in us that can show us the way, if we’re brave enough to follow it.
Where is your spark leading?
